Charles Cusack – President and CEO

Charles is a seasoned veteran with a proven track record of success. He is a well rounded leader with 34 years of industry experience and a broad background in exploration, exploitation, geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, and operations. Prior to founding Recoil Resources he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Halcon Resources Corporation. Prior to joining Halcon, Charles was a Co-Founder and the Vice President of Exploration for Petrohawk Energy Corporation from 2003 until the company was sold to  BHP Billiton in 2012. He also held various positions with Cockrell Oil, Hess, Tenneco and Chevron. Charles graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Geology and Engineering.

Jude Rolfes – Chief Financial Officer

Jude has 19 years of industry experience in oil & gas finance with specific expertise in advisory, capital formation, A&D, budgeting and investor relations for the E&P sector. Prior to co-founding Recoil Resources, Jude was the Vice President of Corporate Development at Linc Energy Resources, the U.S. oil & gas subsidiary of a publicly traded Australian energy company. Jude joined Linc in 2011 and was an active member of the company’s management leadership team, overseeing all financing activities of the company including over $600 million in RBL, high yield and mezzanine debt placements, A&D, budgeting and financial forecasting, and managing relationships with investors, senior lenders and the Australian executive leadership team. Prior to joining Linc, Jude worked for 6 years as an investment banker with Madison Williams, where he focused on advisory and capital placements for the E&P sector. Jude earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University in 2002.

Greg Halvatzis – Vice President of Exploration

Greg has 40 years of industry experience in all major trends of the Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain Regions. Greg holds a BS and MS in Geology as well as an MBA. Prior to co-founding Recoil Resource Greg was a member of the exploration team at Halcon Resources Corporation as a Senior Geologist where he evaluated over 20 Basins for unconventional resource potential. Before joining Halcon, Greg worked for various companies and held positions that include President and CEO, Senior Vice President Exploration/Land, Vice President Exploration, Division Exploration Manager, and Chief Geologist.

Travis Bacot, CPL – Vice President of Land and Business Development

Travis has 16 years of industry experience 9 of which were served as a project manager/lead broker. Prior to co-founding Recoil Resources he was a partner at Angelle & Donohue Oil and Gas Properties where he managed multiple projects that resulted in the acquisition of over 350,000 net mineral acres valued at over 1 Billion dollars. Travis earned his Bachelors degree in Finance with a minor in Internal Auditing from Louisiana State University and obtained his CPL designation in 2012. Prior to joining Angelle & Donohue in 2010 Travis served as a partner, and project manager at NRG Land, serving several clients throughout Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and Mississippi.

Derek Ingersoll – Vice President of Operations

Derek has 28 years of experience and has worked with private equity sponsored companies since 2009. Derek began his career in 1990 with Conoco working completion and production roles in various Gulf Coast and South Texas properties. In 2000, Derek joined Newfield Exploration and began working on the engineering design and execution of development in Newfield’s expanding South Texas region. In 2009, Derek joined Common Resources in their greenfield Eagle Ford effort which sold mid-2010. In this time Derek had key roles and responsibilities for delivering results in large development projects along with ongoing production oversight.​​

Jeff Allen – Vice President of Engineering

Jeff has over 30 years of oil and gas experience. He earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and began his career with Getty Oil Company in 1982. Jeff subsequently joined Schlumberger and worked in a variety of technical engineering and senior management roles. In 2006, Jeff formed Green Lake Petroleum Consultants, and in 2012 joined Halcón Resources as a consulting reservoir engineer. During his time at Halcón, Jeff was the reservoir advisor to the exploration team and consulted on the valuation of 20 different resources plays. Prior to co-founding Recoil Resources, Jeff was employed with Weyerhaeuser Energy Natural Resources where he was responsible for the reservoir engineering and prospect development for 10 million oil and gas mineral acres across the United States.
